September 2018 at the Dublin Unitarian Church
Think Like a Tree
Soak up the sun
Affirm life’s magic
Be graceful in the wind
Stand tall after a storm
Feel refreshed after it rains
Grow strong without notice
Be prepared for each season
Provide shelter to strangers
Hang tough through a cold spell
Emerge renewed at the first signs of spring
Stay deeply rooted while reaching for the sky
Be still long enough to hear your own leaves rustling
– Karen I. Shragg

Church Clubs & Groups Meeting in September 2018
Film Club meets on the first Wednesday of the month (5th this month) at the Lantern Centre on Synge Street. They meet at 7pm for a 7.30 start This month they will watch the Alfred Hitchcock movie: ‘Rebecca’ starring: Laurence Olivier with Joan Fontaine. The film is based on a novel by Daphne du Maurier. The film club is a great social opportunity to meet other members of the church as well as to watch great movies. Admission is free but film club members like to leave a donation for the Lantern Centre.
Our Walking Club like to go walking on a regular basis – usually about once a month. Currently there is no specific plan for September but there is liable to be a walk.
The church has published a variety of books and other products. Our most recent publication is a first collection of sermons and essays by our current minister Rev. Bridget Spain.
The new book, as well as other books of sermons and childrens stories and greetings cards published by the church are available from the website and we take payment through Paypal.
