The walking club like to get out and walk places roughly once a month through the year.
The next planned walk is a guided tour of Kilmacurragh Arboretum on Saturday 25th June. The rendezvous is 11.30 at the coffee shop in Kilmacurragh but, as usual, it is important to tell Marcus in advance (see below) if you are coming so he knows who he is expecting to meet.
This month they are reading An Officer And A Spy by Robert Harris.
The club greatly enjoys welcoming new members.
Facilitator – Jennifer Flegg
As part of a general push to open up the church more often to the public, Thursdays at lunchtime have been spotted as an ideal opportunity for small cultural and historical events. After two successful series of talks (both podcasted from the recordings page on our website), we are currently running music recitals in this slot. Thursday from just after 1 to just before 2. Admission free. All welcome. Details below.

Award winning Irish Musician Pierce Turner returns from Manhattan to launch his much talked about new CD “Love Can”t Always Be Articulate”. Recorded in a New York Church, the album has a bigness that one doesn’t hear anymore in our small digital studios. Everyone knows the power of a Pierce live performance and this is a rare chance to see for yourself. Pierce is excited to include the churches’ organist and the restored pipe organ in this performance – a really vibrant dynamic mixture of sounds and textures is evident on the album and he is looking forward to displaying that with the renewed capabitilies of the instrument at the church.
Support on the night will come from The Remedy Club
